Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and other use of this website. Continuing to browse means that you accept them. If you disagree with any condition, do not continue using the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no government affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service intended for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource helps visitors locate official criminal-record channels in Refugio County and Texas. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site operated independently of government. It does not keep official criminal records, perform official checks, retrieve files, or submit paperwork for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify official custodians, including the Refugio County Sheriff's Office and courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also route visitors to research tools operated by other parties. The official offices, not this private resource, control their records and access decisions.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on lawful, respectful conduct. You agree not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked service may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also violate law. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 governs the Texas Sex Offender Registration Program and addresses misuse of public registry information. Registry access supports public safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism or harm.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any check for a regulated purpose must come through the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division or a screening provider that follows the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The content supplies general information and is not legal advice. It cannot decide how a Refugio County charge, warrant, conviction, Chapter 55 expunction, or Government Code Chapter 411 nondisclosure provision applies to one person. Seek advice from a lawyer licensed in Texas.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are offered "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, sealing orders, and expunctions can change a record after publication. Gaps and delays can occur. Only the relevant clerk, sheriff, court, or state agency can make an official statement about its record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government offices, courts, legal resources, and outside search services. Those destinations are beyond our control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, data practices, or prices. Review a destination's own terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Refugio County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, adapting, distributing, or building upon that material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for harm arising from use of the website or reliance on information obtained here or through a linked provider.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the service or violation of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

These conditions are governed by Texas law. Any legal dispute arising from use of the service must be filed in a court located within Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version becomes effective when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected text will be limited only as much as necessary.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
